How long are internships? Are expense reimbursements offered?
The length of the internship depends on the type of project. Internships last an average of six to nine months, and expense reimbursements are offered.

The compensation offered by Pirelli is competitive with respective to the reference market. The overall system of compensation is line with market practice.

What requirements are necessary for being contacted for an initial interview?
The requirements that candidates must satisfy vary according to the type of job. In all cases, they must have a good command of English, ability to work as a team, flexibility, initiative and entrepreneurial spirit. In the case of new university graduates, it is preferable that they have a final "Laurea" degree thesis examination score above 90/100 or 100/110.

How much time can pass between the time I submit an application and an invitation for an interview?
If your profile corresponds to current needs, you will be contacted within one month after your application is filed, and you will participate at an assessment centre (evaluation based on group dynamics and individual interviews).
If there are no positions open corresponding to your profile, we will keep your curriculum vitae on file, and you will be contacted as soon as new positions open up.

How are job applications handled?
The first phase of the process consists of acquiring the curriculum vitae. It is reviewed by the company on the basis of the objective parameters indicated above (knowledge of foreign languages, final score for defence of "Laurea" degree thesis, past work experience…). If your curriculum vitae is considered adequate, you will be invited for an assessment centre/preliminary interview. If you pass this initial phase, you will be invited for another interview with the line manager.

What kind of after-hours activities are organised?
Pirelli is a firm that locally organises after-hours recreational activities to promote integration and interpersonal acquaintance amongst employees. For example, at the Milan headquarters you can find initiatives such as the soccer championships that involve employees from all Group companies, or the Pirelli Sailing Cup, which fields mixed crews, or events like the vintage car rally. Open-houses are also planned for families at Pirelli, so that the friends and relatives can visit employee workplaces.
