Claudio De Conto, Chief Operating Officer, Pirelli & C. S.p.A, and President, Pirelli Broadband Solutions S.p.A.

Claudio De Conto is Chief Operating Officer for Pirelli & C. S.p.A., as of November 2006, and President of Pirelli Broadband Solutions S.p.A., as of January 2005. 
An 18 year veteran of Pirelli, De Conto has held several executive management positions within the Group, including CFO, Pirelli Deutschland AG (Germany); CFO, Pirelli Neumaticos S.A. (Spain); and Controller, Pirelli Pnues S.A. (Brazil and South America). 

He first joined Pirelli in 1988 as a member of the Treasury department.
Prior to joining Pirelli, De Conto worked for Ernst & Whinney. 

De Conto is a member of the International Accounting Standards Board and holds a degree in Business Administration  from Bocconi University in Milan.
