Pirelli Broadband Solutions sustainable approach to business is driven by the convinction that a company's performance cannot be considered in economic terms only: it must also be evaluated in light of the contribution the company brings to the quality of social and environmental systems, with an awareness of the connections existing among economic, environmental and social dimensions and of the impacts that a decision taken in one of these areas has on the others, whether visible or not.

Pirelli Broadband Solutions also pursues sustainable and steady growth through a "multi-stakeholder" approach, with careful attention given to all those who interact or have an interest in the company for whatever reason. Proactive dialogue, interaction and transparency are the main drivers of the Company's relations with: Clients, Human Resources, Environment, Suppliers, Institutions and External Community.

The Approach adopted  towards Sustainability and, more specifically, to any of Company's Stakeholders is fully described in the Pirelli Group Sustainability Documents, implemented by Pirelli Broadband Solutions though concrete actions and proper communication to all employees:


Pirelli Group Values and Ethical Code

The Pirelli group Values and Ethical Code, implemented by Pirelli Broadband Solutions, formulates the general principles (transparency and fairness) inspiring the conduct of business. It indicates the objectives and the values informing business activity in relation to the main stakeholders with which the Company interacts on a daily basis.

Pirelli Group Policy for Health, Safety, Environment and Corporate Social Responsibility  (HSE & CSR Policy)

By referring to the fundamental principle of sustainable development, the HSE & CSR Policy signed by Pirelli Group' Chairman in June 2004 and immediately implemented by Pirelli Broadband Solutions, combines in one document and in an integrated way all the previous group policies concerning the environment ("Pirelli Policy for the Environment", issued in July 1995 and updated in September 2000) and safety at work ("Pirelli Policy for Safety at Work", issued in September 2000).      
The Policy focuses on the protection of integrity, health and wellness of the Group's employees, considering these as matters of primary importance to be respected while managing the Company's activities. The Policy also states an express company's commitment to proactively manage its environmental impacts and the sustainability of its supply-chian. On this regard, between 2006 and 2007, CSR has been integrated in both the General Conditions for the Purchase of Goods and Services.
Now the Sustainability Clauses are integrated in any kind of supply contract signed by Pirelli Broadband. The signing of the sustainability clauses commit the suppliers to adopting behaviors at their company that adhere to the content of Pirelli's ethical code and CSR policy. The clauses provide for Pirelli Brodband Solutions' right to carry out local audits to verify this adherence and eventually agree a recovery plan with the concerned supplier.or terminate the contract.

Pirelli Group Equal opportunitity Stament

Pirelli Broadband Solutions'engagement in the field of Equal Opportunities and Diversity management is firmly expressed in the "Pirelli Group Equal Opportunities Statement".
The implementation of this policy is monitored by an Equal Opportunity Manager. The respect of the principles expressed in the Statement is strenghtened by an Equal Opportunities Internal complaint procedure.
